Top 5 Christmas Crime Thrillers

Christmas crime thrillers are a must. Die Hard is on the TV, so you need something explosive on your Kindle to match. You have your new Kindle for Christmas and you’re looking for a novel with a taste of the holiday joy, but with more action and mystery.

Well, look no further. Here are my top 5 Christmas Crime Thrillers to load onto your Kindle.

The kids might be running around with their new toys and Grandpa might be snoozing in the corner. You’ve got a few moments to load up a few books for those quiet times. So, grab your Kindle and get ready for some festive action.

Stone Army – J.D. Weston

Well, of course, I had to start with one of my own. As far as Christmas crime thrillers go, Stone Army has it all. We find Harvey Stone seeking some peace and solitude in Southern France, while his partner is in London visiting friends for Christmas. Our hero is happy to be alone with nothing but the fire to maintain and the wonderful views to keep him company.

But trouble runs into him, quite literally.

Running for her life, Gabriella Du Bois has escaped the clutches of Kassius Kane and his private army of mercenaries and finds, (most fortuitously I might add), our man Harvey.

There is an immediate connection, something electric and chemical. But Harvey pushes her away until she reveals a secret that Kane is planning to kill the President.

The scene is set. The bad guys are tougher than ever. The victim has magnetising appeal. And then, to top it all off, somebody blew up Harvey’s house and he’s mad as hell.

If you haven’t met Harvey Stone yet, this isn’t a bad place to start. There are 12 books in the series and more free books when you sign up to the J.D.Weston reader group. He’s the assassin everyone loves. He doesn’t say much, but action speaks louder than words in this Kindle Christmas classic.

Twelve Days – Mark Dawson

Mark Dawson’s celebrated Christmas adventure with his hero John Milton is sure to set the pulses racing.

Take one disgruntled assassin, a young promising boxer with a past he’d rather forget and add them both to a blend of gunfire and revenge and this year’s #2 on the Top 5 Christmas Crime Thrillers will give you all the thrills you’re looking for.

If you’re lucky enough to find time for a Kindle Christmas moment, you can do a lot worse than to meet Harvey Stone or John Milton.

Ryan’s Christmas – LJ Ross

Okay, so this isn’t really an action thriller, but I’d be kicking myself if I didn’t include it. LJ Ross’ DCI Ryan is back in this Christmas mystery. Ryan’s Christmas reads like a classic whodunnit, but has the twists, turns and emotional ups and downs you should expect from LJ Ross…and this time, your mind will be conjouring images of a haunted castle.

There’s humour and romance, mystery and suspense, everything you could ask for in a Christmas crime thriller novel.

The Deaths of December: A cracking Christmas crime thriller – Susi Holliday.

An advent calendar with a difference, until DC Becky Greene begins opening the doors.

As the list of the dead rises, so does your pulse. But a secret is about to emerge. The killer has been at it for twenty years.

A brilliant Christmas crime thriller that is sure to keep you awake, while you wait to ambush Santa.

At #4 in my list of Crime novels for Christmas, this little book will catch you off-guard.

Under the Ice: A Christmas Crime Thriller – Rachael Blok.

It is the week before Christmas and the cathedral city of St Albans is blanketed by snow. But beneath the festive lights, darkness is stirring. The frozen body of a young girl is discovered by the ice-covered lake.

The police scramble for clues. A local woman, Jenny, has had visions of what happened the night of the murder. But Jenny is an exhausted new mother, whose midnight wanderings pull her ever closer to the lake. Can Jenny be trusted? What does she really know?

What’s your favourite Christmas crime thriller? Let me know and perhaps I’ll give it a read. In the meantime, get stuck into these crime novels for Christmas, pour yourself a drink and have a fantastic Kindle Christmas.
